Vancouver’s Odyssey Media has inked a four-picture deal worth €11 million (around $15.8M CAD) with Belgian production company Living Stone.

The deal will see the companies produce four feature films over 16 months, with the production and post being divided between Canada and Belgium.

The deal came together when Odyssey CEO Kirk Shaw traveled to Antwerp, Belgium to do some research on a diamond heist movie he was developing. While there, he met Martin Dewitte of Living Stone and Tom Notte of the Flemish Film Funding organization, and realized some of the projects they were developing would work well as copros.

Both Living Stone and Odyssey have two projects that they will bring with them to the deal.

On the Odyssey side, the two films are diamond heist feature Rouge and thriller Frequent Flyer, about an airline pilot who, after surviving a plane crash, wakes up to find three wives sitting by his bedside.

Living Stone brings to the deal Billy and the Ghost Hunters, a remake of the Flemish/Dutch youth film, and Blinker and the Bouli Borom-Borom about an adventurous youth, set in Africa.

Odyssey, looking to expand its international operations as well as its copro activity, recently appointed Suraj Gohill as its president. Following this, it was announced that Duality, a Mexico/Canada copro, had been greenlit by Mexico’s Televisa USA.
