Cookie Jar Entertainment has tapped interactive TV veteran Josette Bonte as VP of digital media, a newly created position in line with the company’s plans to expand its presence across digital media platforms. She will work out of the toonco’s Los Angeles office.
Bonte is the former VP of content and IPTV at U.S. research and consulting firm Ovum, where her clients included AT&T, Verizon and France Telecom.
‘Josette is among the top tier of pioneering broadband media executives whose depth of experience in new and traditional media will make her an invaluable asset,’ said Ken Locker, Cookie Jar SVP of digital media, in a release.
Meanwhile, Cookie Jar announced it has struck a deal with iToys to create a new line of toys based on its popular preschool show The Doodlebops, which airs here on CBC. The toy line will include musical instruments, microphones, dance mats and role-play toys. The new toys will launch this fall.
