Two comedies from CCI

CCI Entertainment has inked a deal with Montreal’s Fake Studio and First Star Studios to develop and produce a pair of kids comedies.

The animated series Jerry and the Raiders targets the four- to eight-year-old set, about a boy and two of his action figures that come to life and attempt to solve ecological crimes and mysteries.

Meanwhile, live-action/animated sitcom My Brother Was Abducted by Aliens will go after nine- to 12-year-olds, following a brother and sister whose world gets turned upside down when the former claims he’s had a close encounter.

‘We are working with a great team of creative minds on these projects,’ said Arnie Zipursky, co-chairman of CCI Entertainment, in a statement. ‘We are having a lot of fun and feeling confident that both… will deliver lots of laughs and adventures to our broadcast partners as well as the kids who tune in.’

Fake Studio specializes in online editing and 2D/3D visual effects and was in the news in 2008 when it took over work from Montreal’s now-shuttered post shop damnfx.
