• TVA Films has hired Marie-Sylvie Lefebvre as director of international and television sales. The distribution vet is covering for Nathalie Larivière, who will go on parental leave on May 5.

• Debbie Harksen has moved to the new position of marketing specialist at the Alberta Film Commission.

• Studio B Productions has hired one exec and promoted another – bringing in Anthony Jiwa as director of marketing and upping Kirsten Newlands to head of production.

• Jason Morberg is now in charge of all business and legal affairs at Calgary’s Voice Pictures, replacing Donna Serafinus, who is now with Seven24Films in Calgary

• Amanda Handy has been tapped as the business affairs manager for Media Headquarters in Toronto.

• Guru Studio in Toronto has hired producers Susan Ma and Skye Bjarnason. Ma will be responsible for TV and long-form projects, while Bjarnason will produce commercials.

• Kray Mitchell, a filmmaker who specializes in computer and Internet technology, has joined Calgary-based Joe Media as information technologies manager.
