Toronto-based producer and distributor 9 Story Media Group has sold nearly 350 hours of kids content to broadcasters operating in a number of Asian territories, including Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

Thailand broadcaster TV3 acquired a total of 130 half-hours of content from 9 Story, including the first seasons of preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood (80 x 11 minutes), Peg + Cat (80 x 11 minutes) and Monkey See Monkey Do (26 x 7 minutes). TV3 also picked up three seasons of Finding Stuff Out (42 x 22 minutes), a live-action science series.

Singapore’s Mediacorp licensed the first seasons of Peg + Cat (80 x 11 minutes) and Get Ace (52 x 11 minutes), and season four of Wild Kratts (26 x 22 minutes). 9 Story also landed a sale for Peg + Cat with Taiwan’s PTS (80 x 11 minutes) and the first season of Wild Kratts to Hong Kong’s TVB. Korea-based JEI TV also acquired the first season of Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood (80 x 11 minutes).

These latest deals in the Asian market come a few weeks after 9 Story Media Group announced it had inked a content partnership with media conglomerate Beijing Sunshine Culture and Communication that will see  Peg + Cat and Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood launch in China. With the deal, Sunshine Culture and Communication acquired all rights within the region for Peg + Cat and Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood.
