Mosaic Entertainment
Mosaic Entertainment’s Tiny Plastic Men has been picked up by streaming service Hulu in the U.S. The show is written by and stars Chris Craddock, Matt Alden and Mark Meer as three nerdy employees at a toy company whose job it is to test prototype toys. All three of the show’s seasons have been made available on Hulu. The series is distributed by California-based PPI Releasing and executive produced by Mosaic’s Camille Beaudoin, Jesse Lipscombe and Eric Rebalkin.
Sinking Ship Entertainment
Live-action kids’ show Odd Squad from Sinking Ship Entertainment has been sold to the UK’s CBBC. The comedy will makes its debut on the BBC channel on June 22. The show follows two young government agents Olive and Otto as they use their brilliant minds to investigate and solve weird and wonderful goings-on.
Hollywood Suite
Quebec- and Ontario-based IPTV provider Zazeen TV has added Hollywood Suites four movie channels to its service. Hollywood Suite, run by industry veteran Jay Switzer, is comprised of four HD TV movie channels: Sony Movie Channel, AXN Movies, WarnerFilms and MGM Channel. The provider is adding the channels to its service at no additional cost to customers as part of its Beyond Basic package.
Multiple Media Entertainment
Toronto-based production and distribution company Multiple Media Entertainment has announced that it is releasing Assassin in Canada. The British drama is written and directed by J.K Amalou and produced by his production company, Silver Leaf Pictures. The film stars Danny Dyer (Eastenders) as an ex-hitman looking to take revenge on the crime bosses of London’s underworld. It will be released July 1 on iTunes, Vimeo, Pay-Per-View and VOD.
Spin Master
Nickelodeon has greenlit a third season of CG-animated preschool series PAW Patrol (pictured). Produced in collaboration with Spin Master Entertainment, the third season is set to premiere later this year. For the full story, click here.
DHX Media
DHX Media-produced preschool series Kate & Mim-Mim has been greenlit to a second season by FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment. The animated series’ sophomore season is currently in pre-production, and premiere in the U.S. on Disney Junior before airing globally in late 2015. See the full story here.
