Paul Giamatti, John Goodman and Sylvester Stallone are among the voice talent to be featured in the Rainmaker Entertainment, Blockade Entertainment and China’s CNHK Media’s CG-animated feature Ratchet and Clank.
The film is based on the classic video game franchise of the same name published by Sony Computer Entertainment, and developed by Insomniac Games. Other talent slated to voice Ratchet and Clank include Bella Thorne (The Snow Queen Two, Blended) and Rosario Dawson (Marvel’s Daredevil, Sin City).
Giamatti, Goodman, Stallone, Thorn and Rosario join voice cast from the original video game franchise who will also be featured in the feature film, including James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye, Armin Shimerman and Jim Ward.
While production of the film has wrapped, the key cast for Ratchet and Clank was only revealed on Wednesday. Invitation-only screenings of Ratchet and Clank will be held for international distributors at the Marche du Film in Cannes this week. The film has already sold into over 25 international territories via sales agent Cinema Management Group.
Ratchet and Clank is directed by Kevin Munroe and co-directed by Jericca Cleland. The film is produced by Blockade’s Foxhaven and VP development David Wohl, along with Rainmaker’s SVP of production and operations Kim Dent Wilder. Michael Hefferon is lead executive producer on the film. The screenplay was written by former Insomniac Games writer TJ Fixman, with contributions from Munroe.
