Seville International has secured a number of sales for Xavier Dolan’s Juste La Fin Du Monde (“It’s Only the End of the World”) into several territories ahead of Cannes.
The film has been picked up by Pictures Dept. for Japan, Curzon Artificial Eye for the U.K. and Lucky Red for Italy.
Production on La Fin Du Monde is scheduled to begin in May, and Seville International will officially launch sales of the film in Cannes.
Seville International is handling international sales for the film outside of France (where MK2 is handling the sales of the movie and France’s Diaphana is distributing). In Canada and Quebec, the film will be distributed by eOne and Les Films Séville.
The film – starring Léa Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Nathalie Baye and Gaspard Ulliel –is based on Jean-Luc Lagarce’s play of the same name, in which a writer returns to his hometown after 12 years away to announce his impending death.
Dolan’s ongoing producing partner Nancy Grant is on board the film, as well as MK2’s Nathanaël Karmitz.
