Production has started in Vancouver on AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead, a companion series to The Walking Dead.
Fear The Walking Dead will be shooting in Vancouver for several weeks before production moves to Los Angeles. Most of the series will be shot in Vancouver, with the producers using local crews and suppliers, a spokesperson told Playback Daily. Fear The Walking Dead is set in Los Angeles, and the first season will include six one-hour episodes. The series is set to bow on AMC this summer.
Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and David Erickson, who also serves as showrunner. The series is produced by AMC Studios. Co-executive producer Adam Davidson is directing the first three episodes of the series.
Fear the Walking Dead stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey.
The original Walking Dead series is filmed in Georgia.
