Ontario’s Francophone pubcaster TFO has announced two executive promotions.
Effective April 21, Joëlle Drouin (pictured right) has been promoted to the newly created role of senior director, digital transformation and innovation acceleration; and concurrently Marianne Lambert (pictured left) has been upped to senior director, content. Lambert reports to Sonia Boisvert, VP, content and productions; and Drouin reports to Francis Michaud, VP and COO, a TFO spokesperson told Playback Daily.
In the new role, Drouin will execute TFO’s digital initiatives and lead projects leveraging new technologies and artificial intelligence. She first joined the pubcaster in 2022 as senior director of marketing, communications and external relations.
Prior to joining TFO, Drouin spent nearly a decade at the Mouvement d’implication francophone d’Orléans as a marketing and communications director.
Lambert will continue to be responsible for commissions, co-productions, pre-buys and administering TFO’s Canada Media Fund envelope. According to the spokesperson, her new duties will include leading the editorial line and creative affairs for kids’ and youth internal content, “as well as setting the vision and tone for documentary, film and children’s programming across TFO platforms.”
Lambert started at TFO in 1999 as a host of the series Mégallô. From 2006 to 2011, she hosted Mini TFO, and from 2013 to 2016, she was a producer of Mini TFO and Flip TFO. In October 2019 she rejoined TFO as the director of coproductions and acquisitions.
