Jonathan Roiter to join Spin Master as CFO

The exec transition follows the previously announced retirement of outgoing CFO Mark Segal.

Toronto-based Spin Master Corp. has announced the appointment of Jonathan Roiter as the global children’s entertainment company’s EVP and CFO.

The appointment, effective in May, follows the retirement of outgoing EVP and CFO Mark Segal which was first announced in July 2024 and set to take place in the first half of this year. Based in Toronto, Roiter will report to global president and CEO, Max Rangel, a Spin Master spokesperson told Playback Daily.

Router comes to Spin Master from computer software design services company Softchoice, where he was also CFO. Prior to that, he has held CFO, corporate development, strategy and operating roles at companies such as GoodFood, Gildan and Ace Bakery.

“Jonathan brings a wealth of experience in finance, operational leadership, M&A and capital markets, which coupled with his deep understanding of the consumer-packaged goods industry will complement our leadership team and strengthen our focus on creating long-term shareholder value,” said Rangel in a statement. “Once again, I want to congratulate Mark on his retirement and thank him for his many contributions during his long tenure as CFO with Spin Master.”
