The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) has welcomed two additions to its board of directors: Kevin Johnson, GroupM Canada CEO and president of WPP Canada; and Nora Felder, an Emmy-winning, Grammy-nominated music supervisor.
Previously, Johnson (pictured left) served as CEO of MediaCom Canada. In his current role he oversees both WPP and GroupM operations in Canada. He also holds positions on several boards, including Ad Standards, Numeris and Trillium Health Partners.
Felder (pictured right) has worked with artists such as Paul Simon, Sinead O’Connor, Malcolm McLaren, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jett and Iggy Pop as VP of Phil Ramone Inc. In television, she led music supervision on Netflix’s Stranger Things; FX’s What We Do In the Shadows and Better Things; and Showtime’s Ray Donovan, Californication and Yellowjackets.
“Kevin and Nora bring deep insight, creativity and a fresh perspective to our board,” said Sean Cohan, BANFF board chair and Bell Media president, in a statement. “Their combined expertise will help guide BANFF’s growth and global impact as we continue to provide a world-class platform for creators, companies and changemakers.”
The 46th annual festival runs from June 8 to 11 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alta.
