Sphere Abacus, the distribution arm of Toronto and Montreal-based Sphere Media, has sold Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson to a raft of global buyers.
The documentary, produced by London-based Amos Pictures, is a sequel to 2019’s Leaving Neverland. and follows two men, Wade Robson (pictured left) and James Safechuck (pictured right), who allege they were sexually abused by pop artist Michael Jackson as children. The second film accompanies them on their decade-long quest to get their day in court against Jackson’s companies, which maintain the innocence of the singer.
Amos Pictures founder Dan Reed directed both documentaries in the series. Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson is set to broadcast on the U.K.’s Channel 4 March 18.
Buyers of the 53-minute documentary include Radio-Canada for French-speaking Canada, Nine Network for Australia, Canal+ for France, DR for Denmark, VRT for Belgium, RTL for Germany, SVT for Sweden, Movistar+ for Spain, TVNZ for New Zealand, YLE for Finland, yesDocu and Channel HOT8 for Israel and Dox TV for Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo.
London-based Little Dot Media will also release the documentary through their digital network channels in the U.S., Canada, Greece, Turkey, the Middle East and Asia (excluding Hong Kong).

A third and final documentary is slated, which will cover Robson and Safechuck’s trial in late 2026.
