Hamilton, Ont.-based animation company Pipeline Studios has appointed former WildBrain and Jetpack sales guru Rebecca Lugo as its director of sales and business development.
Lugo is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships and spearhead worldwide sales, distributions, acquisitions and coproductions, according to a Monday (Feb. 3) release.
Prior to joining Pipeline, Lugo spent a little over a year as the head of global sales at London-headquartered Jetpack Distribution. She also spent close to nine years in several roles at Toronto-based WildBrain, including sales manger, international distribution.
“[Lugo’s] leadership, vision and expertise will be instrumental as we continue to accelerate our global expansion,” said Pipeline CEO and co-founder Luis Lopez in a statement. “Her ability to foster a collaborative and forward-thinking approach to delivering premium content makes her a perfect fit for Pipeline’s mission and values.”
Some of Pipeline Studios previous credits include Universal Kids original Nina’s World, Netflix’s Legend Quest and Nickelodeon’s Sunny Day.
