Shayne Putzlocher’s feature debut shooting in Regina, Thailand

The film follows a married couple as they travel to Thailand to make a documentary about a folk legend.

Trilight Entertainment president and founder Shayne Putzlocher is making his feature directorial debut with The Wrath.

The film, written by Nicole Field, began production in Regina on Nov. 13  and begins filming in Thailand on Nov. 28.

Putzlocher and Jessica Watch produce for Calgary, Regina and Vernon, B.C.-based Trilight alongside Paul Cadieux and Isabelle Legault from Montreal-based Filmoption International. Filmoption holds the Canadian rights to the film.

Somboon Wattanatakulchat is a co-producer for Siren Film Bangkok. Daniel Ford Beavis, Filmoption’s Maya Cadieux-Rouillard and Martin Cadieux-Rouillard, Trilight’s Andrea Hoffman and Kimberley Cardina are executive producers.

The Wrath stars Tatum Jennings (Blood in the Snow), Mitchell Lane, Christopher David Davis, Jordan Wendzina (Ghost in My Room) and Sukanlaya Phinongram. The film follows a married couple who travel to Thailand to make a documentary about a folk legend, only for the story to become reality.

The film is financed by Filmoption, Beavis, Creative Saskatchewan and Putzlocher and Hoffman’s new international distribution company Jaxter Media.

“[Putzlocher’s] extensive experience behind the camera, alongside Nicole Field’s chilling screenplay and a talented cast of emerging talent, make The Wrath a fresh and unique project with incredible potential on the international market,” said Cadieux in a statement.

Jennings is represented by Kendall Kramer at Zero Gravity Management.
