Cosmedia to distribute curated Canadian film collection

The 25-title collection comes from a deal with Robert Lantos' Serendipity Point Films.

Cosmedia’s distribution arm has inked a deal with Toronto’s Serendipity Point Films to distribute a curated collection of Canadian films.

The 25-title collection includes films such as David Cronenberg’s Crash (1996), Atom Egoyan’s Where The Truth Lies (2005), Norman Jewison’s The Statement (2003) and Richard J. Lewis’s Barney’s Version (2010).

More recent titles found in the collection include Don McKellar’s Through Black Spruce (2018), April Mullen’s Below Her Mouth (2016) and Akash Sherman’s Clara (2019).

The deal was brokered between Cosmedia’s Mike Cosentino and Serendipity Point Films’ Robert Lantos. The collection is available to license from Cosmedia Distribution in English and French within Canada.

“This is a quintessential collection of Canadian films showcasing a cross section of incredible, award-winning stories, produced with passion, lensed by legendary directors and seen by millions during their festival and theatrical runs,” said Cosentino in a statement.
