BYUtv has renewed Montreal-based Sphere Animation’s comedy Saving Me for two more seasons.
The U.S. broadcaster has ordered third and fourth 10 x 22-minute seasons of the 2D-animated series, created by U.S. author Aaron Johnston.
Saving Me follows an elderly billionaire who travels back in time to reverse the harms he’s done in his life and to the planet, working alongside his 11-year-old self. It premiered on BYUtv in October 2022.
Calgary-born writer Willem Wennekers is the series showrunner, with Toronto’s Craig Martin as the head writer. Executive producers include Johnston, Kelly Loosli and Roddy McManus; Jeff Simpson, Andra Duke and Luke Johnston for BYUtv; and Bruno Dubé and Marlo Miazga on behalf of Sphere.
The two new seasons are slated to be delivered by June 2026.
