Toronto-based prodco McGillivray Entertainment Media (MEM) has hired former Yap Films exec Susanne Ritzau as director, business affairs.
Ritzau assumes her role effective Wednesday (March 27). She will lead business affairs processes for the company’s corporate and production files and provide guidance to internal production teams.
Prior to joining MEM, Ritzau served as head of business affairs at Yap Films. She brings more than 10 years of business affairs and production financing experience in independent film and television.
MEM also announced the appointment of Anton Parfenyuk as director, finance. He joined the company late last year.
Parfenyuk is responsible for the company’s financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. He most recently served as financial controller at Banger Films, where he worked for five years.
“Both Anton and Susanne’s skill sets, and diversified portfolio compliments our company’s high-standards and ambitious goals,” said MEM president Angela Jennings in a statement.
MEM productions include Canada’s Got Talent, which is currently airing on Citytv, and Luxe Listings Toronto, the Toronto-based edition of the Australian format, Luxe Listings Sydney.
Luxe Listings Toronto is part of Prime Video’s Canadian originals slate and will premiere on April 26.
