Gisele’s Mashup Adventures greenlit for season two

The Headspinner Productions children's series airs on CBC Kids in Canada.

CBC Kids series Gisele’s Mashup Adventures has been renewed for a second season.

The renewal was announced by Toronto-based prodco Headspinner Productions on Thursday (March 21), which also handles distribution for the series.

Starring and executive produced by Gisele Corinthios, the 20-episode second season combines live-action segments with animation produced by Cartoon Conrad. The series is produced with the support of CBC Gem and CBC Kids, as well as the Canada Media Fund (CMF) Digital Linear Series Fund.

Created by Corinthios and Headspinner principal Michelle Melanson, Gisele’s Mashup Adventures currently airs on CBC Kids in Canada and streams on CBC Gem, Headspinner Kids YouTube Channel, Kabillion (U.S.) and Binge TV (U.S.). It’s also available on the MacMillian Educational platform, with ASL versions on the Broadly Available and Accessible Media (BAAM) Project Platform.

In each episode, Corinthios chats with a kid consultant to come up with imaginative story ideas that go into the “Mashup Mixer” and become a fun animated adventure.

Season one (funded by the CMF/Shaw Rocket Fund Digital Animated Series Fund) won Best Animated Series at the T.O. Webfest awards and was nominated for a 2024 Kidscreen Award.
