Longtime Yes TV executive Glenn Stewart (pictured above) has retired from his role as chief operating officer, with chief content officer Melissa McEachern (pictured right) assuming his remit.
Stewart retired from the Burlington, Ont.-based faith-focused channel as of last Friday (Feb. 23), according to a news release.
In addition to McEachern extending her remit as CCO and COO, the company has promoted David Garby (pictured left) to general manager and director of sales. Garby, who was previously director, business development and affiliate relations, assumes day-to-day operations of the channel.
Stewart joined Yes TV in 2000 as the head of national sales and, after a two-year retirement stint, was named director of sales and programming in 2015. He took on the title of COO in 2020.
“Glenn’s dedication to Yes TV’s mission and his strong and deep knowledge of the broadcast industry have been a driving force in helping Yes TV reach its full potential,” said CEO Kevin Shepherd in a statement. “It is not an exaggeration to say that Glenn’s impact will be felt for years, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.”
In addition to the executive changes, Yes TV announced this month that it has acquired a Burlington-based studio that was originally built for its sister organization Crossroads Christian Communications.
The facility on 1295 North Service Road includes three studio spaces, as well as office and co-working spaces, which the company will use for in-house productions and rental solutions for external productions.
