Cynthia Kennedy departing VP distribution role at Quebecor

Kennedy was appointed to lead sales and distribution strategies for Quebecor and its subsidiaries in April 2022.

Cynthia Kennedy is departing her role as VP of distribution at Quebecor.

Kennedy announced via LinkedIn that she is leaving the company this month. The exec was appointed to lead sales and distribution strategies for Quebecor and its subsidiaries, including Quebecor Content, TVA and Incendo in April 2022.

“My deepest gratitude goes to Yann Paquet for entrusting me with this wonderful challenge, and for his leadership and guidance. I’m also very confident about the future distribution activities of the group, knowing that they are in the capable hands of Jean-Philippe Normandeau, Sylvie Langlois, and Louis Pearson,” wrote Kennedy.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two years in a position that was very much a dream come true. Content from Quebec is truly world-class and it was a privilege to represent and place these superb projects with international partners – and I know the best is yet to come,” added Kennedy, who is a member of the content advisory board at the upcoming Banff World Media Festival.

The reason for Kennedy’s departure has not been disclosed as of press time. Quebecor declined to comment.

Prior to joining Quebecor, Kennedy served as head of sales at Amsterdam-based Vincent TV for more than two years, and was SVP licensing at Talpa Group for more than four years.

She also held various positions at BBC Studios and A&E Television Networks, among others.
