A pple TV+ has renewed Invasion for a third season.
Produced for Apple TV+ by Toronto’s Boat Rocker Media, the science fiction drama series is the brainchild of executive producers Simon Kinberg (X-Men, Deadpool, The Martian) and David Weil (Hunters). It follows five individuals around the globe following the arrival of an alien species on Earth.
The third season of Invasion will go into production in later this month in Vancouver and other locations. The first and second seasons stream globally on Apple TV+.
Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Andrew Baldwin, Dan Dietz and Katie O’Connell Marsh also serve as EPs. Nick Nantell serves as executive producer for Boat Rocker.
The ensemble cast includes Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland and Tara Moayedi. Season two added series regulars Enver Gjokaj, Nedra Marie Taylor and Naian González Norvind.
“This new season will continue to build on the scale, stakes, and propulsion of Invasion, while keeping our characters front and centre, bringing them together in ways that will hopefully surprise and most importantly move our audience, who have been so incredibly supportive and inspiring since day one,” said Kinberg in a statement.
