Former Entertainment One (eOne) and Maison 4:3 exec Yoann Sauvageau (pictured) has been hired as the director of TVA Films.
Louis Pearson, senior director, acquisitions and Quebec cinema at Quebecor Content, announced the appointment on Wednesday (Feb. 7), noting that Sauvageau will lead TVA Films’ business strategy and drive its growth.
Carole Labrie, former director of TVA Films and TVA Distribution, retired last year, according to a spokesperson for TVA.
Sauvageau most recently served as VP of sales at distributor Maison 4:3. Prior to that, he worked in movie distribution with Alliance Films and Sony Pictures before joining Entertainment One in 2012 as director, theatrical sales in Quebec
Under his purview, eOne released films such as The Hunger Games, La La Land, Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 and John Wick. In 2019, Sauvageau was promoted to VP, theatrical sales, working with exhibitors across the country.
“His experience, knowledge of the industry and its players, deep expertise and outstanding track record will make him a key asset to our team,” said Pearson in a statement.
