Blue Ant Media expands Canadian originals slate

The slate includes the spinoff Wild Rose Vets, a joint venture between Blue Ant and APTN.

Blue Ant Media is kicking off Prime Time  in Ottawa with the announcement of a trio of new and returning series.

The projects include Blue Ant and APTN joint venture Wild Rose Vets (pictured), a spinoff of the original series Dr. Savannah: Wild Rose Vet; My Haunted Hometown, a new paranormal series filmed across North America; and Hope for Wildlife: The Next Generation (w/t), a new season of Hope for Wildlife.

Wild Rose Vets (13 x 30 minutes) is a Blue Ant and APTN joint venture, produced by Wapanatahk Media in partnership with Great Pacific Media. The series is set to air in spring 2025 on Cottage Life (during the channel’s nationwide free preview), with a subsequent window in multiple territories worldwide on the free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel Love Pets.

Hope for Wildlife: The Next Generation (8 x 60 minutes; w/t) is produced by Arcadia Entertainment, and will similarly air on Cottage Life before a Love Pets window.

My Haunted Hometown (8 x 60 minutes) is produced by Blue Ant Studios and will air on T+E this coming October during the outlet’s Creep Week programming event. From there, it will window on FAST channel HauntTV in multiple territories worldwide.

Blue Ant Media has also ordered two additional episodes of the previously-announced eight-part third season of Mysteries From Above, which is produced by Blue Ant Studios and is set to air on Cottage Life later this year.

Blue Ant’s originals slate is overseen by Sam Linton, VP of production and development, global media and Julie Chang, EVP of business strategy & co-productions.
