Toronto and Montreal-based prodco and distributor Incendo has announced its latest commission from Fox-owned streaming service Tubi: the festive horror film Guess Who.
The feature is the fifth collaboration in the duo’s content partnership, which includes Terror Train and Terror Train 2, and launches on Tubi in the U.S. today (Jan. 19), according to a news release.
The Montreal-shot film was written by Matt Wells (Crown & Anchor), Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin (Slasher), and directed by Amelia Moses (Bloodthirsty). It stars homegrown talents Keeya King (Yellowjackets) and Corteon Moore (From).
The film features a twist on the holiday tradition of mummering, which usually involves a group of friends or family dressing up in disguise and visiting homes in their neighbourhood in the 12 days leading up to Christmas. The twist? One of the masked figures turns out to be a psychotic killer.
The film is produced by Incendo’s Graham Ludlow and Kaleigh Kavanagh, who also serve as executive producers alongside Shari Segal and Matt Wells.
