Paris-based sales agency Charades has acquired international sales rights to Canadian horror In A Violent Nature, ahead of its world premiere at Sundance.
The film is a Shudder original, written and directed by Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.’s Chris Nash, and will debut on Monday (Jan. 22) in the Midnight section of the festival in Park City, Utah.
In A Violent Nature is produced by Shannon Hanmer and Peter Kuplowsky, and sees an undead monster rampage around the remote wilderness. Shudder also holds distribution rights to the film.
The cast includes Ry Barrett (Open Your Eyes), Andrea Pavlovic (Learn to Swim), Cameron Love (An Unexpected Killer), Reece Presley (Bloodslinger), Liam Leone (Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life), Charlotte Creaghan (So Much Tenderness), Sam Roulston (Mood), Alexander Oliver (Womb Envy) and Lauren-Marie Taylor (Loving).
The 2024 Sundance Film Festival runs from Jan. 18 to 28.
