Veteran producer Matthew O’Connor has been named a partner at Vancouver-based prodco Pink Buffalo Films, joining an executive team that includes CEO and executive producer Martin Fisher and producer and partner Shawn Angelski.
O’Conner is an award-winning producer with decades of production credits under his belt, including the TNT series Snowpiercer, Loretta Todd’s 2020 film Monkey Beach, and Showcase series Continuum. He garnered Emmy nominations for his producing work on the 2007 limited series Tin Man, and the TV movie The Baby Dance, starring Laura Dern and Stockard Channing.
Pink Buffalo Films has worked on service and original productions, as well as branded content, for more than a decade. Its credits include the Lifetime films No One Would Tell and A Story of a Girl, the horror films Grave Encounters and Grave Encounters 2, and seasons one and two of the CW Network anthology series Two Sentence Horror Stories.
The prodco is currently working on number of projects, including a scripted series in the Grave Encounters franchise; the scripted TV series Master and Madame Zee; and an unscripted TV series, Born on the Internet, in partnership with North of Now.
