Production is about to wrap on the social media influencer horror film Fresh Meat, written and directed by Daniel Turres (Here For Blood).

Principal photography began in Chatham-Kent, Ont. on Oct. 8, and will wrap Wednesday (Nov. 15). Christian Turres is a producer on the film under the London, Ont.-based banner Pageman Productions. Courtney Presto, Ben Srokosz and David Bond are also producers.

Fresh Meat follows a group of thrill-seeking influencers who discover a cannibalistic inmate while exploring an abandoned prison. The film stars Joelle Farrow, Mika Amonsen and Hannah Galway.Toronto’s Raven Banner Entertainment is handling worldwide sales, with Michael Paszt, James Fler, and Andrew T. Hunt attached as executive producers.

The film was entirely financed through private equity, according to a spokesperson for the production.
