Spin Master in production on third PAW Patrol movie

The film was announced ahead of the release of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie and is a coproduction with Nickelodeon Movies.

Spin Master Entertainment is prepping the next big-screen iteration of its PAW Patrol franchise days away from the theatrical release of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (pictured).

The as-yet-untitled film is slated to hit theaters in 2026. It’s another copro between Spin and Nickelodeon Movies, with Paramount Pictures in place as global distributor in every territory except Canada, which is managed by Elevation Pictures.

Spin Master co-founder Ronnen Harary will executive produce the third film, with animator and filmmaker Cal Brunker (The Nut Job 2) returning as director. Spin Master Entertainment president Jennifer Dodge is a producer, along with Laura Clunie, SVP of development for current series and feature film, and Toni Stevens, SVP of entertainment production and operations.

This announcement coincides with PAW Patrol celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year.

Created by Keith Chapman, PAW Patrol centres on a group of pups and their young human leader, who take on rescue missions in their home of Adventure Bay. Since the preschool show’s 2013 debut, Spin Master has grown the brand’s paw print both on and off the screen. Nickelodeon renewed PAW Patrol for season 11 in July and also ordered a second season of spinoff series Rubble & Crew, which launched in April.

The brand’s first feature film, PAW Patrol: The Movie, earned US$40 million domestically and more than US$144 million globally. Spin Master and Paramount could be about to duplicate this initial theatrical success as Box Office Pro predicts the second film will earn between US$30 million and US$48 million domestically.
