Farpoint Films explores near-death experiences in new series

The 13-episode series I Died … And Came Back is filming in Canada and the U.S.

Production has commenced on the new Super Channel series I Died … And Came Back from Winnipeg’s Farpoint Films.

Filming on 13 x 60-minute series started on Tuesday (Aug. 5) and will continue through the year in Toronto, Manitoba, and Arlington, Virginia, in the U.S. It is scheduled to premiere in 2024, according to a press release.

I Died … And Came Back is directed by John Barnard, and written by Chris Charney and Trevor Suffield. Producers include Kyle Bornais, Charney and Scott R. Leary

The “death-defying” series will tap into first-person interviews, dramatic recreations of the near-death experience, and also provide insight from medical and science experts.

“We’re exploring the mystery of death and rebirth and can’t wait to share what we find,” said Farpoint’s Barnard in a statement.

The series is part of Farpoint’s exclusive deal with Super Channel to provide 150 hours of scripted and non-scripted shows over the next year and will premiere in 2024. The prodco went into production on another Super Channel original, Fishing For History, in August.
