Production is underway in Leduc, Alta. on the heist thriller Chasing Midnight.
Principal photography on the film, which stars Beverly Hills 90210‘s Brian Austin Green (pictured), began on Monday (Aug. 14) in Leduc and wraps Aug. 31, according to a news release.
Chasing Midnight is directed by James Allen Bradley, written by Brandon Rhiness and produced by Edmonton-based Factory Film Studio’s chief creative officer Michael Patrick Lilly.
This is the second project by the production and distribution company to shoot in the area within the last six months, and third overall since it relocated to Edmonton from Kingston, Ont. in 2022, said the release.
“Since moving production operations entirely to Alberta, our team has been raring to continue bolstering the growing film industry here,” said Lilly in a statement.
Jewel Staite (Family Law) and Kevin Daniels (Modern Family) round of the cast of the film, which follows the story of a man whose life changes forever over the course of one night as he is left with a chance at redemption or life of crime, according to the release.
