Edmonton-based Super Channel has unveiled an internal restructuring that will see its current revenue, marketing and creative services departments combined, and Tanuka Roy named to the position of chief operating officer, overseeing the newly formed department.
Roy, who joined Super Channel at the beginning of the year as chief revenue officer, will now add oversight of the company’s consumer marketing and creative services functions to her role, according to a press release. She will continue to be based in Toronto and report to Super Channel president and CEO Don McDonald. The move was effective as of July 24.
Reporting to Roy will be Stacey Brooks, who joins Super Channel as director, marketing. In the role, Brooks will manage the company’s direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns, on-air promotion, digital marketing strategies including social media, as well as corporate and channel-specific branding. Brooks comes to Super Channel from Bell Canada, where she held a variety of senior marketing positions over 16 years, most recently senior manager, marketing communications for Bell Consumer Services.
Also joining Super Channel are Eva Lonoza and Ben Cheema, who each assume the newly created role of manager, distribution sales and marketing, both based in Toronto. Reporting to Roy, the two positions are responsible for identifying and executing revenue-generating opportunities across BDU and platform partners to drive subscriber growth and reduce churn.
Lonoza joins Super Channel from Telus Small Business Solutions, where she was channel manager, while Cheema was previously manager, training for affiliate sales, Bell Media.
