Telus has hired Selina Crammond (pictured), a veteran of B.C.’s documentary industry, as its newest production executive.
The announcement was made Friday (July 7) by Leah Camenzind, managing production executive and team lead for Telus originals. Crammond is based in Vancouver and joined Telus in May, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Crammond has been involved in the B.C. documentary film community for more than a decade, providing artistic, strategic and operational leadership as director of programming at the DOXA Documentary Film Festival.
Most recently, she was a program analyst at Creative BC, where she was a key member of the funding team, managing programs that support both scripted and factual film and television projects. She has also worked as a programming advisor to DOXA and the Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival.
The Telus originals team also includes senior production executive Christina Willings and production executive Ken Tsui.
“The combination of Selina’s extensive experience in the documentary genre and arts administration sector, as well as her values alignment, make her a natural addition to the Telus originals team”, said Camenzind in a statement, adding that her skills will aid Telus’ mission “to fund compelling, high-quality, feature-length documentaries and docuseries.”
