The CFC Gala: Take 35, presented by Netflix, was held at Rebel in Toronto on May 11 with attendees including CFC executive director maxine bailey, Toronto International Film Festival CEO Cameron Bailey, Shaftesbury chairman and president Christina Jennings, broadcasting executive and philanthropist Gary Slaight, and filmmaker Clement Virgo.
Other guests included Paul Bronfman, chairman and founding shareholder of Pinewood Toronto Studios; Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television CEO Tammy Frick; Magda Grace, head of Prime Video, Canada, Australia and New Zealand; Tara Woodbury, director, content – Canada, Netflix; Danielle Woodrow, Netflix’s director, content – Canada; Michael Murray, CEO of the Ontario Arts Council; and Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Neil Lumsden,
The gala is CFC’s largest fundraising event, with funds going toward full entrance scholarships for CFC’s incoming residents and its suite of programs. This year’s ’80s theme was inspired by the decade the CFC was “born,” according to a news release. Here are photos from the event, courtesy of George Pimentel Photography:
