Lisa Coulman rounds out Thunderbird’s board of directors

The Vancouver-based company appointed the Nobul Technologies CFO as its seventh member of the board.

Thunderbird Entertainment has appointed Toronto’s Nobul Technologies CFO Lisa Coulman (pictured) to its board of directors.

Coulman, who has also been appointed as chair of the audit committee, is the seventh member of the Vancouver-based company’s board of directors.

The new director previously served as audit partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and is responsible for overseeing M&A activity in her current role at Nobul, as well as “enhancing financial reporting and forecasting systems.”

Thunderbird saw a shift in its board of directors via a cooperation agreement with minority shareholder Voss Capital following a proxy battle ahead of its 2022 AGM. The agreement saw former board members Marni Wieshofer and Frank Giustra replaced with Asha Daniere and Mark Trachuk, who were nominated by Voss.

The agreement also allowed Thunderbird to increase the number of board members, with the intention of nominating a seventh independent director following the AGM.

Additional members of the board are Azim Jamal, Jérôme Levy, and Linda Michaelson, with CEO Jennifer Twiner McCarron serving as board chair.

“[Coulman] brings vast experience in the technology, entertainment and retail sectors,” said Twiner McCarron in a statement. “With her addition, we solidify our board, and together we move forward to a very bright future for Thunderbird.”

Thunderbird Entertainment is the parent company of unscripted production company Great Pacific Media and animation studio Atomic Cartoons.
