Blue Ant International has acquired exclusive rights to the Amazon Original Three Mothers, Two Babies and a Scandal (pictured) following its debut on Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland last November. The global distributor solidified deals with Prime Video for markets including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Nordics, with distribution rights available for the rest of the world, said a news release.
Directed by Alice McMahon-Major (Spice Girls: How Girl Power Changed Britain) with Zehra Yas (Generation Gifted) producing, the series is produced by Scottish indie Firecrest Films for Prime Video U.K. and executive produced by Firecrest’s managing director Nicole Kleeman and Vari Innes.
The documentary series (3 x 60 minutes) examines the adoption of twins by two separate families across two continents over the internet and the ensuing Trans-Atlantic custody battle, according to a news release.
Blue Ant International will launch sales for the docuseries at the London Screenings 2023, with rights negotiated by Ben Barrett, Blue Ant International’s global head of content financing and partnership, said the release.

The release from BossaNova also noted that Castle Secrets, produced by Toronto-based prodco Go Button Media, has been added to its London Screenings slate. The historical factual series (8 x 60 minutes) explores imposing structures that have stood tall against time.
