A CTRA National has named Linda Noelle Bush as director of its Performers’ Rights Society (PRS) arm and the ACTRA Recording Artists’ Collecting Society (RACS).
In her role as director of PRS, which begins effective immediately, Bush will handle the collection and distribution of use fees/residuals and royalties. As director of RACS she will ensure that all performers and recording artists are paid for the use of their work. RACS has collected and distributed more than $100 million to date, according to the ACTRA website.
Bush (pictured) most recently served as VP of artist and label relations at Cadence Music Group. She worked for five years as music manager at WildBrain, where she was responsible for all production music, music publishing and licensing for the production company.
She has 20 years of entertainment industry experience across publishing companies and major music labels such as Universal Music, Warner Music Canada and Attic Music Group. Bush previously worked as a film and TV music supervisor and holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Guelph.
ACTRA National has also hired Natalie Clancy as director of public affairs and communications by way of Unifor, Canada’s largest private sector union.
“Clancy and Bush bring elevated skillsets to the senior management team that will build our union and continue to improve the working lives of ACTRA performers across Canada,” said Marie Kelly, ACTRA national executive director and lead negotiator, in a statement.
