K OTV’s distribution arm is bolstering its production work with the promotion of Dominic Anctil to VP of entertainment.

Anctil will work closely with the production teams out of KOTV’s Montreal office to spearhead the creative on all of the company’s quiz, variety and sketch comedy content production, according to a news release.

Anctil joined KOTV in 2014, working as a content producer on programs including ALT, Med, Une historie vraie, Bye bye and Pillow Talk. He also created KOTV’s series Perfect Storm.

His most recent development and production project for the company is the upcoming Zenith, a Veronique Cloutier competitive music series that KO Distribution introduced at last month’s MIPCOM.

Anctil is also a leader in Quebec’s comedy scene. He’s directed several comedy shows and spent the last seven years teaching classes on how to create comedy at the Ecole nationale de l’humour comedy school in Montreal.

Louis-Philippe Drolet, KOTV managing director and executive producer, said in a statement that Anctil “is very accomplished at what he does and is the ideal person to support and lead our creative talent, nurturing our new shows through the development process while maintaining our high-quality standards and creative visions for all of our productions.”
