Bizable Media elevates Veale, Quinn to VP roles

Lucy Veale and Audrey Quinn join the the consultancy firm's leadership team as co-founder and co-president Kathy Avrich-Johnson transitions to advisor.

Toronto consultancy firm Bizable Media has reorganized its leadership team as co-founder and co-president Kathy Avrich-Johnson steps into an advisory role.

The company has elevated Lucy Veale (pictured left) to VP from director, business affairs and production, and Audrey Quinn (pictured right) to VP, production financing from controller. Both of them have also taken an equity position in the company, according to a news release.

Avrich-Johnson’s transition to advisor will also see Janice Dawe move from co-president to president of Bizable Media. As advisor, Avrich-Johnson will provide consulting services to both the Bizable Media team and its clients.

Veale joined the company in 2019 after previously working as a business affairs analyst at Dentons Canada. Her past roles include business affairs coordinator at Shaftesbury and director of development and associate producer at Accent Entertainment. In addition to her work at Bizable, Quinn oversees finances at Toronto-based prodco Primitive Entertainment.

Bizable Media provides business affairs and production financing consultation and administration services for independent Canadian media producers.

Avrich-Johnson said the promotions of Veale and Quinn will guarantee the continuity of the company’s services to the Canadian screen sector, in a statement. “I am very proud to have built Bizable into a company with a sterling reputation for integrity and value to our clients, helping many emerging producers come into their own,” she said.
