London-based distributor Abacus Media Rights (AMR) has appointed Anne Corsak (pictured) as its first director of sales for North America.
Corsak joined AMR after its parentco, Vancouver-headquartered media company Amcomri Entertainment, acquired Australian distributor Flame Media in June and folded it into AMR’s operations.
AMR’s North American catalogue includes titles such as Sphere Media’s scripted series Sort Of, The Porter and Trickster, Blue Ant Studios documentary Epstein’s Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell, Eagle Vision’s docuseries Taken, and White Pine Pictures’ doc Unloved: Huronia’s Forgotten Children.
Corsak served as SVP of content sales at Flame Media, handling its North America and global digital strategy. Prior to Flame Media, Corsak worked at New York-based distributor Janson Media, handling international sales and acquisitions for VOD, and worked in sales and marketing at Global Telemedia before then.
“As AMR’s portfolio of programming across all genres continues to grow, we need a dedicated in-house executive and it will be invaluable to have Anne on board, not only with her experience across the Flame library of programming but also with her experience and long-standing relationships, working solely for us in this important territory,” said AMR managing director Jonathan Ford in a statement.
