ZoomerMedia promotes Beverley Shenken to chief content officer

As part of the promotion Shenken will now lead carriage and distribution negotiations with Canadian BDUs on behalf of the company's television properties.

beverley-shenken-01ZoomerMedia has elevated longtime exec Beverley Shenken to chief content officer of its television division.

The promotion sees Shenken (pictured right) take on the duties of chief liaison between the Toronto-based ZoomerMedia and Canadian BDUs for carriage and distribution negotiations for the media company’s various channels.

Shenken was formerly VP, programming and content and general manager, and will continue to handle her production and programming acquisition responsibilities within the company.

ZoomerMedia properties include its flagship specialty channel VisionTV, fitness-focused specialty OneTV and B.C.-based multi-faith channel JoyTV.

Shenken has been with ZoomerMedia for more than two decades and helped bring British staple Downton Abbey to VisionTV. Before joining ZoomerMedia, she was manager of international sales at Bell Media’s Discovery Canada.
