Fountainhead Talent relaunches as Element Artist Management

Roberta Romano has succeeded Julie Lafontaine as the talent agency's owner and president.

Toronto’s Fountainhead Talent has rebranded as Element Artist Management following the retirement of former owner and president Julie Lafontaine.

Roberta Romano (pictured) is the new talent agency owner and president, after Lafontaine decided to retire and pursue other passions, according to a news release and a separate statement issued by Lafontaine.

Romano has been a talent agent in the voice division of Fountainhead Talent and worked alongside Lafontaine for 17 years. She will continue to represent the division, while simultaneously overseeing operations.

The entire team — consisting of agents Faith Halman, Alix Kazman, and Alicia Faucher, along with assistant Carter Aitken — will continue to represent the programming division and work under Romano’s banner.

“Roberta has demonstrated a strong work ethic, leadership and a total commitment to the clients. I know she will lead this new iteration with gusto and determination,” said Lafontaine.

Romano said in a statement she has had the “privilege of working in this industry for almost 30 years in various capacities and each experience gave me insight into perspectives that have become invaluable as an agent.” She added that she looks forward to continuing to work and grow alongside a group of dynamic agents.

Element Artist Management agents are specialized in film, TV, stage and voice. The agency is a member of the Talent Agents and Managers Association of Canada.
