Netflix greenlights unscripted projects from marblemedia, Insight Productions

Drink Masters and Cook At All Costs are set to debut on the streamer later this fall.

Titles from Toronto prodcos marblemedia and Insight Productions are among a raft of newly announced, culinary-inspired programming from global streamer Netflix.

Drinks Masters (10 x 40 minutes; pictured) is a mixologist competition series produced by marblemedia (Blown Away) and U.S. prodco Boomerang Productions Media. Set to debut on Oct. 28, the series puts 12 mixologists through a number of “cocktail challenges” to earn the title of Ultimate Drink Master.

Executive producers include marblemedia’s Matthew Hornburg and Mark Bishop, and Boomerang’s Tim Warren, with Donna Luke as co-executive producer. Comedian Tone Bell (pictured) will host the competition series.

Also on the slate is Cook At All Costs, produced by Boat Rocker Media’s Insight Productions. Hosted by Toronto chef Jordan Andino, the 8 x 35-minute competition series gives home chefs $25,000 to bid on a mix of luxury and thrifty ingredients to make a gourmet meal.

Executive producers are John Brunton, Erin Brock, Chris Culvenor and Eric Abboud. The series premieres on Dec. 16.

Other series named as part of the Friday (Aug. 19) announcement include Chef’s Table: Pizza (Supper Club, Boardwalk Pictures), Nailed It! season seven (Magical Elves), and Snack vs. Chef (Nobody’s Hero, ITV America).
