Corus expands StackTV’s reach in Canada

Sports-focused streaming service FuboTV has added StackTV as part of a premium package.

Corus Entertainment has continued to expand StackTV’s reach, unveiling a new distribution deal with streaming service FuboTV.

The sports-focused SVOD will now include StackTV as part of a premium subscription package for Canadian users, priced at $34.99 per month.

The premium package includes all existing FuboTV channels, as well as access to the Premier League, with plans to expand in the coming months, according to a new release.

Corus’ streaming offering currently includes scripted, unscripted and news programming across 13 networks, including Global, Treehouse, YTV, Adult Swim, Teletoon, HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada, W Network, Showcase, Slice, History and National Geographic, as well as the newly added Lifetime.

The deal marks the second major expansion of StackTV since its launch on Amazon’s Prime Video in Canada in 2019. Corus inked a partnership with Rogers Communications earlier this year to bring the channel to Ignite customers, available at $9.99 plus tax per month for Ignite TV subscribers or $12.99 plus tax per month for subscribers of Ignite SmartStream.

Drew Robinson, VP, content distribution at Corus said in a statement that the expansion underscores StackTV’s value to viewers and partners through live and on-demand premium content.
