Toronto-based Aircraft Pictures has expanded its executive team, naming Irene Ho its head of finance and operations, and Alan Bacchus as director of business affairs.
Both are newly created positions at the Oscar- and Emmy-nominated prodco, which Corus Entertainment acquired a majority stake in last February.
Ho (pictured left) and Bacchus (pictured right) will report to co-presidents Andrew Rosen and Anthony Leo, who founded the company in 2005.
Ho’s remit includes overseeing accounting, finance, and information technology. She will also develop and implement strategic initiatives and drive results in producing premium, family-friendly entertainment.
Ho previously served as VP of finance at Sienna Films, a subsidiary of Sphere Media. She started her accounting career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she worked in audit and tax, specializing in the media and entertainment industry.
Bacchus, meanwhile, will work closely with the co-presidents to oversee all business and legal matters for the company in the development and production of film and TV projects. He previously spent 12 years as programs manager at Bell Media’s The Harold Greenberg Fund, and has worked in various roles at the Canadian Film Centre, Capri Films, and Norflicks Productions. He’s also independently produced and executive produced several short films and a feature.
In a statement, Rosen and Leo said the “extensive knowledge and expertise” of Ho and Bacchus “will be invaluable” as Aircraft continues to grow, producing kids and family-focused entertainment for the global marketplace. Aircraft’s credits include the 2017 animated feature film The Breadwinner and the Hulu original series Holly Hobbie.
