Ben Waller, formerly director, production strategy and resource planning at Netflix, will serve as VP, sales and marketing to help the company's international growth strategy.

ben_3Equipment provider and studio operator William F. White International (WFW) has hired former Netflix exec Ben Waller (pictured) as VP, sales and marketing.

The newly created L.A.-based role will see Waller help expand the Sunbelt Rentals-owned company’s international growth, with a focus on securing new sales and marketing opportunities outside of Canada.

Waller most recently served as director, production strategy and resource planning at Netflix, overseeing more than $1.1 billion in spending and handling core system development across the company’s vendor-sourcing and stages. He has also held senior roles at Viacom (now Paramount Global) and its subsidiary Paramount Pictures.

A statement from Garin Josey, EVP and COO of WFW, said Waller will further the company’s relationships with key contacts in L.A. and “brings a deep understanding” of their clients’ needs.

Waller said he is “excited to join a company on the cusp of expansion into international markets” and serve as their “boots on the ground in Hollywood.”
