Toronto-based producer, distributor and channel operator Blue Ant Media is continuing its free, ad-supported streaming TV channel (FAST) channel expansion in the U.S. with the launch of TotalCrime.
Now available on The Roku Channel, the TotalCrime FAST channel offers a catalogue of true crime factual series and documentaries. Programming includes the documentary series Murder, Lies and Alibis (pictured; 5 x 60 minutes), about true crimes in Australia; Handsome Devils (10 x 60 minutes), about men who turn out to be a woman’s “worst nightmare”; I Didn’t Do It (7 x 60 minutes), profiling stories of wrongful convictions; Encounters With Evil (10 x 60 minutes), which explores the minds of the perpetrators of notorious crimes; and The Killer in My Family (6 x 60 minutes), featuring stories of the relatives of murderers.
TotalCrime follows several of Blue Ant Media’s FAST channel launches in North America and around the globe, including Love Nature, HauntTV and CrimeTime, TotalCrime’s sister channel, which launched on Roku in Canada in March 2021.
“Audiences are hungry for true crime programming and TotalCrime’s lineup is jam-packed with exclusive true crime series and documentaries they can’t find anywhere else,” Jamie Schouela, president, global channels and media, Blue Ant Media, said in a statement. “The fact that our Canadian crime streaming channel has grown 220% in the last nine months makes us confident that TotalCrime channel will become a fan-favourite for The Roku Channel’s U.S. viewers. Given Blue Ant’s history connecting with niche audiences, we’re well-positioned to continue bringing new channels to the exploding free streaming space.”
