Blue Ant Media-owned animation company Look Mom! Productions has hired Mia Di Pasquale (pictured) as VP of development.
The newly created role is based in L.A. as part of the Toronto company’s efforts to expand its presence in the U.S. market, as well as its development slate.
Di Pasquale is tasked with identifying emerging talent to develop original adult animation content for the global market. The role reports to managing director Josh Bowen.
The exec previously held the role of head of entertainment and media development at U.S. animation studio Superplastic, leading creative development for animated features, series and web comics. Di Pasquale has developed series for Peacock, Adult Swim and more, as well as serving as an executive producer on Super Punch, the first Twitch original series.
“With a keen eye for emerging talent, Mia will be integral to growing our studio in L.A. and the broader U.S. market,” said Bowen in a statement. “This U.S. expansion presents an exciting opportunity to bring Look Mom!’s network of creators and resources to an expanded market, while opening us up a new pool of talent with fresh concepts and perspectives.”
Look Mom! Productions recently announced that its short-form animated series Doomlands would premiere on The Roku Channel as the ad-based streaming service’s first original animated series.
