Network Media names leads for NFT Studios

White, one of the founders of Thunderbird Entertainment, will also be an executive producer for emerging content initiatives.

Vancouver-based Network Media Group and its subsidiary Network Entertainment have appointed Curtis White to become its business development executive for Network NFT Studios and an executive producer for emerging content initiatives.

White (pictured) was part of the Thunderbird Entertainment founding group and spent more than a decade in a variety of roles on both the corporate and creative sides of the company, holding posts in business development and investor relations. He most recently served as head of digital for the Thunderbird Group of Companies.

White, who has extensive experience developing and producing original content across a variety of platforms, has also been immersed in the NFT space as a collector and enthusiast, with his expertise sitting at the convergence of tech and media. Over the past year, White’s focus has been on transitioning established IP into the rapidly evolving NFT and Web 3.0 ecosystem.

“Curtis brings to the role broad industry expertise with strengths in corporate strategy, partnerships, and finance ideally suited for NFT Studios’ growth objectives,” said Derik Murray, founder and CEO of Network in a statement.

Added White: “The rapid adoption of emerging blockchain technologies presents an exciting new frontier to extend brands and engage audiences. I’ve always admired Network’s commitment to quality and authenticity. With their pedigree and pipeline of premium IP they are well-suited to emerge as a leader in the NFT landscape.”

“(White) was integral to Thunderbird’s success, playing a central role in the development of their business, digital strategies, and go-public transition. His passion for innovative technologies, creativity, and business leadership will help Network’s NFT Studio reach its full potential,” said Tim Gamble, director of Network.

Last week, the company also announced that creative director and graphic designer Tom Brown has stepped in as CCO for NFT Studios. His remit will be to oversee the creative ventures and branding, along with campaigns for the company’s film and TV projects. Brown brings 25 years experience with global publishers from Fast Company to Penguin/Viking Books.
