TVOKids original series Wacky Word Songs has been acquired by ABC Australia, while a third season of the show has also been ordered by TVO. Produced by Montreal’s Apartment 11 Productions, in association with TVOKids, Wacky Word Songs aims to improve literacy, language and communication in children from Grades 1 to 4. While Apartment 11 prepares to go into production on season three, season two will debut on TVOKids on Aug. 9.

Gusto

Gusto TV is expanding into Africa for the first time through a new partnership with AVO TV, a free streaming app available in Nigeria. Through the deal, Gusto series including One World Kitchen, Flour Power, Fish the Dish will be available on AVO TV, which carried more than 100 African and international TV channels.

The deal comes as Gusto prepares to launch a pair of new anthology series later this summer, America’s Most Delicious and The 3 Best.

CBC

CBC has picked up the Canadian rights to the new psychological thriller Angela Black, produced by Two Brothers Pictures. CBC acquired the rights from All3Media International, which is handling international distribution. The six-part drama stars Joanne Froggatt as a suburban housewife whose seemingly perfect life isn’t all it appears to be. The show is is directed by Craig Viveiros (Rillington Place) and produced in association with All3Media International.
